SUGARMILL WOODS CERT
BYLAWS
Article I – Purpose of
Existence Sugarmill Woods CERT exists to
provide the citizens of Article II – Bylaw Term The period of existence is
perpetual. Article III – Board of
Directors The Board of Directors shall manage the affairs of the Sugarmill Woods CERT. The total number of Directors shall be a minimum of five (5) and a maximum of eleven (11). Also serving on the Board as an advisor will be the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Coordinator. The Board shall include a Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson and a Secretary and such other positions as the Board may create by resolution. The Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson positions shall be held by separate individuals. All other positions may be combined by resolutions. The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary shall be elected and serve a two-year term. There will be no limits on the number of terms the elected officers may serve. The nominee must receive a simple majority vote of the Board to be accepted on the Board. In the event of a vacancy on the Board, the remaining Board of Directors shall appoint a replacement to serve out the unexpired term. All actions or approvals by the Board shall be by majority vote of the Board Members present at the meeting. There must be a majority of the Board members present in order for the Board to hold a meeting. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Coordinator shall have the power of veto if issues conflict with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Management Section or with County procedures or policies. Any member of the Board may be removed from the Board by a majority vote of the remaining Board members. The Board will be guided by
Roberts’ Rules of Order. Article IV – Meetings Meetings will be held as needed. Meeting agenda items shall include, but are not limited to: Call of Order, Approval of Minutes, any Business, Announcements and Adjournment.
