MISSION: To provide the residents of the southwest quadrant
of team of
volunteers whose primary duty is to accomplish first responder activities to
mitigate the effects of a
natural or declared disaster affecting the community until Federal, State
and/or local authorities
arrive on the scene and then, as requested, assist them in the performance of
their |

duties. AUTHORIZATION: The Southwest Quadrant of the
Citrus County CERT, along with the three other quadrants in the county,
is sanctioned under the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Emergency Management
Section. |

MEMBERSHIP: Membership in the Southwest
Quadrant CERT is open to anyone who lives in
the southwestern section of encompassing the southernmost
Chassahowitzka up through
the northernmost residents of Ozello Trail. Training
for CERT is provided by the Emergency
Management Section of the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office and the ARES (Amateur Radio
Emergency Services). MEMBERSHIP FORMS: Membership Application, Membership Questionnaire, Bylaws and SOP’S. MEETINGS: Meetings are held on the second Thursday
of each month in the the General
